Federal Government Cuts Funding for Organizations that Enforce Fair Housing Laws

Last week, the federal government terminated nearly half of the grants that support organizations enforcing fair housing laws across the country-including Chicago Lawyers' Committee for Civil Rights and some of our partners.

Strong enforcement of fair housing laws is essential to ensuring everyone has access to safe, stable, and affordable housing-free from discrimination.

We're calling on HUD to reverse this decision and uphold its commitment to fair housing enforcement.
