Young Professionals' Advisory Council (YPAC)

The Young Professionals' Advisory Council is a group of young professionals that comes together to support and advise the Chicago Lawyers’ Committee by (i) raising awareness for civil rights and social justice issues, (ii) connecting young professionals with civic engagement and pro bono opportunities, and (iii) providing financial support to advance the work of the Chicago Lawyers’ Committee.  The Young Professionals' Advisory Council is committed to addressing today’s evolving civil rights issues and helping to build a more equitable Chicagoland.  Members enjoy the opportunity to connect with civic-minded professionals, expand their network and play an active role in promoting social justice.

The Young Professionals' Advisory Council aims to accomplish these goals by:

  • hosting social and networking events;
  • engaging in roundtable discussions;
  • doing pro bono work; and
  • engaging in community outreach.

Executive Officers:

Laura Kleinman,

"YPAC gives all types of young professionals the chance to work alongside CLC staff and other civil rights advocates to build a more equitable Chicagoland.  Participating in CLC's events, outreach efforts, and programming is truly inspirational, and I can't think of a better way to supplement my practice than by being involved with YPAC."

Jennie Kratochvil,

Prashant Kolluri,

“I entered law school knowing that I wanted to assist those in my community whose civil rights had been violated.  YPAC gives me the opportunity to meet members of the Chicagoland community who need an advocate to protect their rights, and at the same time, combat the problems associated with urban poverty and discrimination.”
