The Law Project congratulates Jody Adler, Director of The Law Project, for being selected as a Wasserstein Public Interest Fellow at Harvard Law School for the 2011-12 academic year. Jody has been selected for her outstanding public service accomplishments including her ongoing work as Director for The Law Project. The Wasserstein Public Interest Fellows Program selects exceptional public interest attorneys from across the country to visit Harvard Law School to assist and counsel students about public service careers. Additionally, Wasserstein Fellows frequently participate in lunch meetings with interested student groups, panel discussions about their areas of practice, and guest teaching in classes.
The Illinois Bar Foundation today awarded the Chicago Lawyers' Committee a grant to support our organizational growth and expansion, in recognition of our organizational revitalization, including our new leadership team, including new Executive Director, new Development Director, new Employment Opportunity Project Director, new Settlement Assistance Project Director and new Director of The Law Project. Eight new Interns and Fellows have worked with us so far this year, as well as fifteen Externs; another wave of Interns and Fellows will begin their terms in a few days. Meanwhile, we are launching a series of new or revitalized Projects, to support the following issues:
